That said, cards like Golos, the Tireless Pilgrim and Kenrith, the Returned King work extremely well with Zirda, the Dawnwaker, and both mana dorks and planeswalkers are essentially free (since tapping for mana and loyalty abilities are both activated abilities), while cycling also counts as an activated ability
Once your graveyard is full of badass creatures, reanimator spells like Reanimate and Animate Dead allow you to spend 1-2 mana instead of 6 or more to put your powerful creatures into play, thus allowing you to repeatedly impact the board in ways that only get more unfair as more powerful creatures are printed in new Magic: the Gathering sets
If you play into the synergy and run a load of powerful artifact creatures in this deck, you can all but ignore Toph's secondary effect and just use it as an extra insurance policy for your most valuable artifacts
It's one of the few cards that can be played as a commander that has an ability that simply performs a Polymorph
